(Cardigan Cotton On / Sweater SJSJ / Purse Monki)
How I would describe this outfit: clean, comfortable, mature and disproportionate.

A long, chunky, cream-colored cardigan is the best way to go if you're like me, and you like to nest yourself in blankets, which for the most part prevents you from moving out of the house, but with this cardigan, you're basically draping a functional blankie on your body so you can actually move out of the house with a blanket on your back! I shamelessly admit that this is probably why I have been putting this on non-stop for the past two months.

The cropped sweater i'm wearing is also great when you want a thick and hassle-free top (no tucking necessary) -- definitely something you should invest in if you don't already have one.

And the vintage flats I stole from my grandma a few years back (hurrah for identical shoe sizes) are still holding together, but i'm counting my blessings with this one.

Have a great week!

Here's a short end-of-the-working-week inspiration post as a detox before you enter the weekend -  enjoy the colors!

I hope this brightened things up!

This post showcases the pieces i've accumulated from the past two months that i've either purchased or have found scattered around the apartment since our moving in. It really is like a treasure mine around here - you never know what you'll find. One thing that I found was this Canon battery-fueled film camera that is probably a decade old (score!), which I remember was something that we no longer wanted to use 5 years ago, because in our heads it was so 5 years ago, but now it's almost like finding an antique - it's funny how perception changes in such a short period of time.

(my 2 favorite HK bloggers Zoe & Bryant, both on this month's issue of yoho!!)

Monki purse, Alphabet Bags coin purse, Snupped laptop case, Moleskin planner, Monki sunglasses, Mason jar, Yoho Magazine, Canon IXUS Z50, postcards from Japan, Repetto flats

I had lots of fun playing around with these pieces and trying to make a visual representation of what i've been loving and using. I think its great to have a few statement pieces that you bring in every 1-2 months, just to keep things exciting and inspiring for you!

Have a lovely week and I hope you liked this!

Its a new year (!) and before I leave the past behind and move on to the big '2014', I will look back on the last week of 2013 through this travel diary.

As the title suggests, I was at Phuket for Christmas, and for most of the time we stayed on an island two-minutes off the mainland by boat - Coconut Island. I won't bother to sugar-coat things and say that this trip was the best I ever had, but it really did make me feel disconnected to the real world (in a good way) thanks to weak, and sometimes non-existent, wifi connection, and the abundance of time, allowing me to lie around, read, and relax. But now that i'm back I miss having time on my hands.

Currently: I'm inspired, again, thanks to the retreat-like stay on the island, and i'm brewing up new ideas for posts, and I have a new outfit post coming up soon so... stay tuned!

So, how was your Christmas break?
